Monday 24th March - walk **** – Around Felixstowe – cloudy start then sunny.

We had a mainly cloudy morning here in Felixstowe so had no plans to go anywhere so after breakfast while I did my exercises Mag did her favourite thing, sieved her compost checking on how well the worms are coming along, yes she is easily pleased:) Then with the sun making an appearance I packed our usual picnic and as Mag wanted some seedling compost we decided to stay in Felixstowe, after an unsuccessful visit to The Range I parked up by the little chapel for today's walk. Heading along the Deben past some very nice new oak benches and through the boatyard and out onto the river path and got an invite to look around one of the houseboats and very nice it was too before carrying past my favourite yellow boat wreck before taking the Tomlin Bank which runs across the golf course. It is just lovely at the moment with blossom trees in full bloom everywhere with the bees just loving them :) Then past the golf club with loads of building work going on and down the steps to the prom turning back towards The Ferry to one of our favourite spots for a picnic by the Deben, the breeze had now turned from the north to the east, right in our faces luckily it was light but a tad chilly but we still enjoyed our yummy picnic before continuing back to the van and got the compost from good old Underwoods:) Then home for the usual cuppa and we are still filling up our hot water bottles, we must be very old now!
